
Jamestown College head volleyball coach Jon Hegerle announced Krista Primus of Sauk Centre, Minnesota, has signed a Letter of Intent to enroll at Jamestown College next year and play volleyball for the Jimmies.
Primus, a five-foot-nine middle hitter, is an All-Conference and All-Section selection for Sauk Centre High School. She recorded 473 kills, 155 blocks, 752 digs, 96 aces and a .287 hitting percentage during her career. She has also been active in basketball and track.
"I am excited that Krista has chosen to make Jamestown College her future home," Hegerle said. "Krista has all of the attributes that we look for in a future Jimmie. Her athleticism, playing experience and team first perspective are a perfect fit in our program. I am looking forward to working with Krista as she strives to reach her potential as a student-athlete at Jamestown College."
Primus is the daughter of Dale and Nancy Primus. She plans to major in Health and Fitness Administration and Spanish at Jamestown College.

Kasson-Mantorville (Minn.) senior Kaia Buck has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Jamestown College. Buck, a 5-foot-7 setter, finished her high school career with 1,552 assists, 388 digs and 97 aces. Her assists total gives her the third-most all-time in team history.
"The Jimmie volleyball program is constantly looking for outstanding volleyball players, students and teammates to join us in our journey and Kaia excels in all three of these areas," said JC volleyball coach Jon Hegerle. "As an all-state setter from one of the strongest programs in Minnesota, Kaia was an outstanding leader both on and off the court."
