Jamestown College collected eight first-place finishes, five by the men, at the Northern State Triangular on Saturday in Aberdeen.

The Cavalier, N.D., product won her second straight high jump outing. She actually tied with teammate Mallory Johannes at 5-1.75.

Madey Hornung also remained unbeaten in the early goings, taking her second straight 800, improving her time to 2:23.33.

Their other win came in the 4x400 relay as Kayla Byle, Ashley Cooper, Stephanie Erlandson, and Alyssa Sanders edged Northern State's top foursome, 4:18.30 to 4:18.89.

"Although we only won three events, we did experience a lot of improvements when compared to our performance at Bemidji a week ago," said Jimmie head coach Jim Clark. "We got a little better (Saturday) and our freshmen just looked more confident in what they were doing."

One of those first-year performers - Taylor Miller - placed third in the 55 (7.80) and 200 (27.59).

All-American cross country runner Aleona Reyes was second in the mile after winning last week. She ran a more strategic race Clark said and finished closely behind Minot State star Courtney Schall, 5:18.45 to 5:19.24.
