Jamestown College women's soccer announced that Taylor Bertsch, Fargo, North Dakota, has signed a letter of intent for the 2012 season.

Bertsch, a senior defender at Davies High School, helped guide her team to the state tournament in 2011. A two-year letter-winner, Bertsch earned her team's Best Defender Award in 2010.

Bertsch has played her club soccer for Red River Rapids, where her team was State Cup champions for eight consecutive years. She was named Team Most Valuable Player in 2006 and 2008.

"We are very excited that Taylor has committed to becoming a Jimmie," said head coach Phillip Bohn. "She is a great person and soccer player and has proven her commitment to her academics and soccer. Taylor is a great addition to our school and program."
