Danny Neville was named head coach of the Jimmie men's basketball team on August 6, 2015. Neville spent the previous three seasons as an assistant coach for the Jimmies. In that span, the Jimmies won two conference championships as well as one conference tournament championship.
Before Jamestown, he spent two years as the head assistant at Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
Neville played at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa. While at Grand View, Neville helped Grand View go 50-17 in his last two years. The Vikings were ranked in the top 25 both years and were ranked as high as #7 in the country.
During Neville's junior year, Grand View gained an automatic bid to the national tournament and advanced to the sweet 16, before losing to eventual national champion Oklahoma Wesleyan. The next year the Vikings won their conference tournament, but Danny Neville's senior year ended quick with a first round national tournament loss to Sioux Falls. Neville was a four year letter winner at Grand View.
A native of Bondurant, Iowa, he holds numerous high school records at Bondurant-Farrar High School. As a high school player his overall record was 85-15, with one state tournament berth. Neville was lucky enough to share his high school moments with his coach and father, Steve.
Neville graduated in 2010 with a BA in Sports Management from Grand View University and in 2015 with a MA in Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine. Neville and his wife, Erin, have two children– daughter Emma and son Landon. Erin is a Pre- k teacher at St. John's Academy in Jamestown.
Michael Iseman is in his first season as a graduate assistant for the Jimmies,
A native of Archie, Mo., Iseman comes to Jamestown from Central College (Iowa), where he was an assistant coach. While at Central, Iseman helped lead the Dutch to a conference title and a berth in the NCAA DIII National Tournament.
Iseman was a two-year letter winner at Central and was team captain his senior season. In 2014, Central won the conference championship and played in the NCAA DIII tournament. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Management.
He was head coach and program director of the Reds Basketball AAU program based out of Archie, Mo., and played in tournaments throughout the Midwest.
Currently pursuing his master's degree in Arts of Leadership at UJ, Iseman will be the head coach for the Jimmie junior varsity team and is involved in recruiting, skill development, and opponent scouting.
Tyler Peterson is entering his first season as a graduate assistant for the Jimmies,
Originally from Minneapolis, Minn., Tyler spent the previous four years at Northland College (Wisconsin) as a player.
At Northland, Peterson was a four-year varsity letter winner and two-time captain with the basketball team. He played in all 101 games throughout his career, and was a starter for 64 of those games. Peterson also helped Northland reach its first postseason berth in twelve years. He graduated in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
Peterson is pursuing his master’s degree in Arts of Leadership at the University of Jamestown. He will be the head coach of the Jimmie junior varsity team and also be involved in practice planning, opponent scouting, and recruiting.
