Jacob Giles found Mason Leighton for 13 yards on the Trojans' first play, taking DSU to the Jimmies' 12-yard line. On the next play, Hines carried the ball all the way to the end zone for the game-winning score.
Jamestown scored its first first-quarter touchdown of the season with 46 seconds remaining, as Dylan Klatt (SR/Crookston, Minn.) connected with Branden Edwards (SR/Apache Junction, Ariz.) on a three-yard pass.
DSU tied the game on a three-yard run by Giles with 6:03 left in the half.
Klatt found Edwards for another scoring play, this time from 10 yards out, to give Jamestown a 14-7 lead with 7:56 left in the third.
The Jimmie defense held Giles to his second-lowest ever passing total Saturday. Wide receiver Austin Opdahl, ranked second in receiving yards per game, receptions, and receiving yards, caught two passes for 34 yards.
Hines finished with a game-high 139 yards on 15 carries. Leighton and Mitchell Galloway joined Opdahl with two receptions each. Baily Edwards led the defense with 12 tackles and John Trout was also in double figures with 10.
