JAMESTOWN-- It's a battle of two top-25 teams in LaCrosse, Wis., tonight as the #23 Jimmies take on second-ranked Viterbo University at 7 p.m.
Jamestown (8-5, 1-0 NSAA) faces Viterbo (12-0, 0-0) in the first of two conference matchups this season.
The Jimmies opened conference play with a four-set win at Dickinson State (N.D.) Tuesday, the 20th victory in the last 26 meetings with the Blue Hawks.
Viterbo will be playing their first conference match of 2017, and have won all 24 conference matches since becoming a member of the North Star Athletic Association in the 2015-16 season.
UJ is 1-8 all-time against Viterbo, with their lone win coming in five sets on October 20, 2012.
Nationally, the Jimmies rank 16th in blocks per game (2.4), 25th in hitting percentage (.224), and 44th in total blocks (110.5).
