JAMESTOWN-- The Jimmie men's soccer team is on the road again this weekend for a pair of games in Wisconsin. UJ plays Cardinal Stritch (Wis.) in Milwaukee Saturday at 5 p.m., then plays Saint Ambrose University Sunday at 1 p.m. in Madison.
Jamestown (0-2) lost a pair of matches in Hastings, Neb., last weekend. Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) blanked the Jimmies 3-0, and Hastings scored five unanswered goals in a 5-1 win.
Saturday will be the first-ever meeting between the Jimmies and Wolves. Cardinal Stritch enters Saturday's action with an overall record of 2-1-1. The Wolves tied Morningside (Iowa) 1-1 on September 10.
The Jimmies will be in Madison Sunday to face Saint Ambrose University. This will be the first time 2012 the teams have met, and UJ holds a 2-0 advantage over the Fighting Bees. SAU is looking for its first win of 2017, currently sitting at 0-5-1 overall.
No live coverage will be available for Saturday's match, but Cardinal Stritch will post updates on Twitter (@StritchWolves).
