University of Jamestown forward Cameron Todd (FR/Burraneer, Australia) helped Australia win silver at the 2017 IIHF Division 2 Group A World Championships in Romania April 3-9.
The Mighty Roos defeated Serbia 4-3 in overtime, beat Iceland 3-2, and knocked off Spain 5-3 before facing Romania. Romania defeated Australia 5-1 and finished as tournament champions. A 3-0 win against Belgium clinched the silver medal for Australia.
Todd had two goals and an assist during the five games. The two goals tied for second-most on the team. He was credited with the game-winning goal in the 3-0 win against Belgium.
2017 marked the fourth time Todd has featured for the Australia national team, currently ranked 36th in the world. He has also played for the Australia U18 and U20 teams. In 45 appearances for his country, Todd has 28 goals and 32 assists and a plus-minus rating of +33.
