MOORHEAD, Minn.-- Nolan Frank (JR/Sartell, Minn.) finished with a 4-over par 76 in Saturday's final round to win individual honors at the Cobber Spring Invitational, held at Village Green Public Golf Course.
Jamestown Black (Frank, Jacob Rice (SO/Mitchell, S.D.), Austin Rene (FR/Jamestown, N.D.), Nathan Kapaun (JR/Fargo, N.D.), Keegan Lindsoe (SO/Three Forks, Mont.), Mitch Hagenson (SR/Staples, Minn.), and Christian Madden (SO/Colorado Springs, Colo.)) also took the top team score, finishing at 617, five shots ahead of Concordia-Moorhead (B). The Jamestown Orange team (Michael Pruss (FR/Red Deer, Alberta), Allan Pruss (FR/Red Deer, Alberta), Brook Bergh (FR/Havana, N.D.), Brandon Stahlhut (JR/Jamestown, N.D.), and Trent Hagenson (SR/Staples, Minn.)), finished in fifth with a score of 636.
Frank finished at 5-over par 149 (73-76) to beat Concordia's Cade Montplasir by two shots. Michael Pruss tied for fourth with a 10-over par 154 (80-74). Rounding out the Jimmie top ten finishers was Rice, who tied for seventh with an 11-over par 155 (80-75).
Rene tied for 11th with his 12-over par 156 (82-74). Kapaun tied for 13th at 13-over par 157 (82-75), and Allan Pruss was 16th at 14-over par 158 (83-75).
Lindsoe tied for 19th at 17-over 161 (82-79), Bergh tied for 24th at 18-over 162 (82-80), Stahlhut tied for 28th at 22-over 166 (90-76), Trent Hagenson was 30th at 23-over 167 (91-76), Mitch Hagenson tied for 31st at 24-over 168 (91-77), and Madden tied for 40th at 35-over 179 (99-79). Madden had the best improvement between rounds, taking 20 shots off his opening round score.
Jamestown concludes the season at the NSAA Spring Tournament, being held at The Golf Club at Cedar Creek, Onalaska, Wis,.April 24-25.
