MOORHEAD, Minn.-- Nolan Frank (JR/Sartell, Minn.)'s 1-over par 73 leads the field after the first round of the Cobber Spring Invitational, hosted by Concordia-Moorhead College. The two-day tournament at Village Green Golf Course wraps up Saturday.
The group of Frank, Jacob Rice (SO/Mitchell, S.D.), Austin Rene (FR/Jamestown, N.D.), Nathan Kapaun (JR/Fargo, N.D.), and Mitch Hagenson (SR/Staples, Minn.) leads the team race after a first-round score of 317, two shots ahead of Concordia-Moorhead (B)'s 319. A second Jimmie team of Michael Pruss (FR/Red Deer, Alberta), Brook Bergh (FR/Havana, N.D.), Allan Pruss (FR/Red Deer, Alberta), Brandon Stahlhut (JR/Jamestown, N.D.), and Trent Hagenson (SR/Staples, Minn.) is in sixth place with a score of 335.
Rice and Michael Pruss are tied for sixth after both shot 8-over par 80. Rene, Kapaun, Bergh, and Keegan Lindsoe (SO/Three Forks, Mont.), playing as an individual, are all tied for 13th at 10-over par 82.
Allan Pruss is tied for 22nd at 11-over par 83 while Stahlhut is 32nd at 18-over par 90. Mitch and Trent Hagenson are tied for 33rd at 19-over par 91 and Christian Madden (SO/Colorado Springs, Colo.), also competing as an individual, is 43rd at 28-over 100.
