SIOUX CITY, Iowa-- The Jimmie women's basketball team returns to the NAIA Division II National Championship for the sixth straight year and the seventh time in the last eight seasons. Jamestown (25-5) will face Oregon Tech (24-8) at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Steve Linzmeier, the Voice of the Jimmies, will have the radio broadcast on KQDJ 1400-AM/ 97.1 FM and online at http://www.newsdakota.com/kqdj-1400am. The pregame show begins at 1:00 p.m. CST.

Jamestown, ranked #10 in the final NAIA Top 25 Poll is the third seed in the Liston Bracket. Oregon Tech is ranked 23rd and is the number six seed in the Liston Bracket.
2017 marks the ninth time the Jimmies have been at the national championships, including seven of the last eight seasons. Oregon Tech is making their fourth straight appearance and fifth overall. Jamestown and Oregon Tech met in the first round of last year's championship, with the Owls winning 71-64. UJ has a 6-8 record all-time at nationals while Oregon Tech is 1-4.
Jamestown is led by North Star Athletic Association Player of the Year Kyra Dewald (SR/Jamestown, ND), who is averaging 15.5 points per game. Taylor Hammer (SR/Grand Forks, ND) and Bryn Woodside (JR/Albert Lea, MN), who both earned second-team NSAA All-Conference honors, average 12.0 and 10.2 points per game, respectively.
The Owls are led offensively by Ashleigh Vandenbrink's 13.0 points per game. Morgan Roberts-Ili averages 11.3 points per contest and Nohea Waiwaiole scores 10.4 per game. Both Vandenbrink and Roberts-Ili were named to the All-Cascade Collegiate Conference team.
