AMES, Iowa-- Allan Pruss (FR/Red Deer, Alberta) scored two third-period goals and the No. 9 Jimmie hockey team finished a weekend sweep of 8th-ranked Iowa State winning 4-2.
The Cyclones answered 44 seconds later as Eero Helanto scored to make it 3-2.
Pruss ended the scoring with an empty-net goal, with one second left. Michael Pruss (FR/Red Deer, Alberta) and Eric Buckley (FR/Penticton, British Columbia) assisted on Allan's seventh goal this season.
Brett Clark (FR/Grande Prairie, Alberta) had 31 saves in his first start for Jamestown. Matt Goedeke made 22 stops for Iowa State.
Jason Richter (FR/Cranbook, British Columbia) lit the lamp just twenty-nine seconds into the second period for the game's first goal. As the Cyclones attempted to kill off a penalty, Richter intercepted a clearing attempt and skated the puck to the net and put it past Goedeke for his 11th goal of the season.
McNeil capitalized on another UJ power play opportunity at the 9:20 mark, playing give-and-go with Cole McKechney (FR/Calgary, Alberta). McNeil passed the puck off the boards to McKechney, who then delivered a sharp pass back to the Calgary, AB native for his sixth goal of the year.
Andrew Carlson cut the lead in half, scoring on a pass from Jonathan Severson with 6:31 left in the second.
