Jamestown College football coach Bud Etzold announces T.J. Dempsey of Dickinson has signed a Dakota Athletic Conference Letter of Intent to play football for the Jimmies.

Dempsey, an All-Conference outside linebacker for Dickinson High, had 45 tackles and five sacks in the 2009 season. He is a three-time Academic All-Conference selection. Dempsey will play safety for the Jimmies.

"It is evident that T.J. defines the type of student-athlete who thrives at Jamestown College," says Shawn Frank, defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator for the Jimmies. "He is a great person who loves to play the game of football, is an outstanding student, and brings a great work ethic with him. We are excited that he has chosen Jamestown College."

Dempsey is the son of John and Charlotte Dempsey. He plans to major in psychology at Jamestown College.
