UJ hosts Jimmie Invitational

JAMESTOWN-- The University of Jamestown women's cross country team is back in action Friday, hosting the Jimmie Invitational at Parkhurst Cross Country Course.

The course is located six miles north of Jamestown on Highway 52/281 (toward Carrington) and one mile west on 30th St SE at Parkhurst Recreation Area.

The Jimmies last competed at the Dean White Invitational in Crete, Neb., on September 23. Allie Foster (JR/Rugby, N.D.) turned in the best performance of the UJ runners, finishing 26th in a time of 21 minutes, 16.95 seconds. 

Amber Posner (SR/Cushing, Minn.) was 47th with a time of 21:57.13. Lindi Chadwick (SO/Jamestown, N.D.) ran 22:52.48 to finish 67th, and Aly ran 23:02.83, just over 10.5 seconds from her personal best, to place 70th.

Friday's race is the second-to-last competition of the season before the NSAA Conference meet on November 3. The Jimmies will run at the Mount Marty Invitational in Yankton, S.D., on October 21.
